A man who is currently jailed in Massachusetts pleaded guilty to mailing threat letters to a federal judge in Binghamton, among others in 2018 and 2019. According to the United States Department of Justice United States Attorney's Office Northern District of New York, Dennis J. Nelson admitted he sent threat letters to a federal judge in Binghamton and two members of Congress. In August 2018, Nelson was incarcerated in a New York State correctional facility and he sent a threat letter to United States District Judge Thomas J.
