News A Binghamton man will spend up to three and a half years in New York State Prison after pleading guilty to Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance in the third degree. According to the Broome County Sheriff's Office, 29-year-old Shaquille J. Espinal admitted that on January 13, 2023 he possessed over an eighth of an ounce of methamphetamine in the city of Binghamton, with the intent to sell it. Authorities say The Broome County Special Investigations Unit Task Force also executed a search warrant at Espinal's apartment on Doubleday Street and recovered quantities of methamphetamine, cocaine, scales, and $382 in cash.
